With decades of experience listing and selling yachts, Georges has built his reputation around a client first approach. The result has been lasting client loyalty, reflecting a philosophy he has held since 1989 and one recognised by Fraser Yachts.
With more than 36 years in the yacht industry, Georges Bourgoignie brings lived experience to every sale. Based in Fort Lauderdale with Fraser Yachts, he works across both sailing and motor yachts and is known for handling technically complex vessels as well as long range cruising yachts.

Georges grew up around boats and went on to study marine science at the University of Miami. After graduating, he obtained a 100 ton US Coast Guard license and began working boat shows and brokerage events, which naturally led him into yacht sales in 1986.
His early influences included Pete Bollman, who taught him how to conduct business with integrity, and Paul Buttrose at Nautor’s Swan, where he learned to sell new yacht projects and to focus on quality and pedigree.
Before joining Fraser Yachts in 2012, Georges spent more than ten years at Nautor’s Swan and nearly as long at Camper & Nicholsons International, gaining experience across both sailing and motor yacht brokerage.
Georges has represented buyers and sellers in hundreds of transactions worldwide and is fluent in both English and French. His client first approach and long standing relationships have led to a high level of repeat business and referrals.
Georges once said in an interview that the best part of the industry is “meeting interesting, successful people who in many cases become friends outside of yachting.” He added that, over time, the evolution of communications transformed yacht sales, but the personal connection with clients remains at the heart of his work.
"Georges Bourgoignie is an experienced Sales Broker of both Motor and Sailing Yachts, having sold hundreds of yachts representing both the buyer and the seller in transactions worldwide. He began his career at Nautor's Swan in 1991 and then joined Camper & Nicholsons in 2003 as a Sales Broker until 2011." — SuperYacht Times
The variety tells a story: Georges understands that different clients want different things, and he's maintained the expertise to serve them all. It's why clients describe Georges as having: "Depth of experience." "Transparent 'client first' focus.""Exceptional client loyalty."

These credentials reflect a career built on consistency — the kind earned through decades of showing up, adapting to change, and maintaining relationships that span generations.
Georges is the kind of broker you rarely find today. He has advised clients from their first serious yacht purchase through many chapters of ownership, and he has seen yachts pass between generations. That kind of memory cannot be replicated by any database. It is built through time, consistency, and judgement.
He often reflects on how the industry has changed since his early days when mail and telephone were the primary tools of communication. “The internet has made our business more instantaneous and effective for communications with clients but also more digital and less personal,” he said, underscoring the ongoing value of personal engagement and transparent representation.
Today Georges’s work spans a wide range of vessels, from large sailing yachts over 40 metres and explorer yachts to performance catamarans suited to extended cruising. His perspective, shaped by decades of change and continuity in the market, remains grounded in client needs and clarity.
